How does Eben Pagan Does it?
You know, I was minding my business yesterday evening and suddenly I got a call from my friend Neol. He said “Dude, It’s really crazy you know”. I am thinking “what the hell?”
He started explaining, “you see, I was watching Eben Pagan’s videos and then suddenly I decided to do some research on it. Do you know Eben pagan Started with Internet marketing Niche around mid 2007?”
I was like “Yeah, I know but he’s online since 2000 or something”.
“Dude he created almost 8-9 products in about 32 months”.
Whoa, really?
I never noticed… (of I started counting it’s really 9 products and then lots of content to give away as bonuses and free stuff).
Technically he’s creating 1 product every 3 months… Damn that’s efficient.
So the question arises
“How does Eben Pagan Does it?”
My first response was, “Duh, he’s got his A+ team behind him, it’s easy”. In reality, the thing is completely different. Even if you have a Top class Team behind your marketing process, it takes effort, dedication to create so many high quality products.
So far I’ve known Eben pagan or david deangelo (in dating niche) never created a sucky product.

Almost all of this products are Pricey. He never cut corners on the products or the price. Now wonder his company is making more than 20 million per year just through online marketing.
So what’s his secret?

The secret is “Creating systems”. I’ve few of his products from both markets (dating and internet marketing). I’ve seen a sort of consistency or formula behind his products.
I am sure he has a system to create products at lightening pace.
For example. Most of his products are created from Seminar he does (Double Your dating Advanced seminar in 2000 or Get Altitude in 2007).
The content was the product gets automatically produced by this method (it’s harsh to say that because it takes HECK a lot of effort to present a seminar than a simple ebook).
If you closely look at the content, you’ll start noticing a structure in almost every product he creates.
In fact that is true for almost every good marketer.
Why Structure Produces High Quality Content?
You need a structure, an outline or a plan to push your content and make it high quality. Think of structure as a foundation for the upcoming content. When you put your content in a structure, you start putting elements that are necessary for any high quality product.
For example, if you produce content haphazardly or without any plan, people will feel cheated. There are different personality types of people and you need your content to match their types.
Damn that sounds a little crazy? Isn’t it?
Yes, it is. And that’s why when you create a structure it creates good content.
Did you notice the structures in one of my articles (Introduction, body content and conclusion). With body content, I can divide the content into many parts and sub parts.
The same goes for your ebook (ebook is nothing but many articles put together but the whole ebook needs a structure).
Going back to personality types. You need stats for people who like to think with logic and then you need stories and metaphor for people who are right brained. When you start mixing these together, it attracts both kind of audience.
What you can do to create a structure?
Now take a 2nd look at this article. This article has a noticeable structure behind it. It has a story and it has some facts and figures and more importantly it has something that you can use it right now.
What you need right now is to start creating product outline or structure.
Here’s what you can do.
1. Create the structure yourself – This is bit hard to do but not impossible at all.
2. Rip apart the index of your favorite product and see how it is structured and then follow that structure yourself. For example When I started creating products, I was highly influenced by the products that Late Corey Rudl had created (Internet Marketing tips).
3. Get some help – This is the costliest way to do it. But again, to make things easier and save some time, it’s often better to ask for help.

My friend doesn’t like to create content he’s more of marketing and sales guy, so he often comes to me with thought provoking questions and ideas. I am glad for his question.
BTW, For those who don’t own Get Altitude, You should get it. Though Eben is often coming out with new products I still think Get Altitude is his Best stuff.
How to create and publish an ebook?
One of the way you can start profiting immediately is by creating your own ebooks. It may seem like a huge task, when it’s really easy. Today in this article, I am going to talk about designing, important things like index, copyrights and other stuff. So lets get started.
1. Ebook Design – Now this has nothing to do with your graphics skills. When I am talking about ebook design, I am talking about easy to read layout. You have to worry about few things in an ebook.
First thing you have to worry about the Fonts you are using. Remember, an ebook is often read on a computer screen. So if you are using any sort of fancy fonts, chances are, your ebook is hard to read. That’s why it’s often suggested to use Sans serif fonts like Verdana, Tahoma for ebook.
Second thing you have to worry about is how big the font are going to be. You paragraph should be spaced at one line and fonts size should not be more than 12 font size.
Using a standard 12 size is pretty much a decent size for normal text. Of course you can increase the font size for title or topic heading.
2. Second thing in an ebook, you should worry about the copyright issues and notice. You should post a copyright issue on all of your text, regardless you are selling it or giving it away for free.
For free, you should always put a notice about it on the copyright about what can your readers do with the free ebook.
Third thing I am going to talk about is Adding few money pages. I am calling them a money page because, that’s what they are. These are pages that are going to promote your website, your list or any of your other products.
I often like to use these pages at the start (before index) and at the end as an extra resources. Promote your sales pitch for subscriber list in these pages.
Creating a design for first page – Unless you are an ebook graphic designer, I suggest you to take it easy and just stick to the basics. Your first page should be about the “Title of the ebook”, A sample of what’s inside, Who’s the author and How to contact the author (website info).
This is the bare minimum of the stuff you should put it in your ebook. That’ it, add your content and voila you are done.
Why You should not sell low ticket items?
Answer this honestly. When you go out to buy a TV, Music system or may be clothes. How many times do you buy low ticket items?
If you are like me, then chances are you don’t buy too many low ticket items (provided you have option to buy better product at higher price).
High Price = Quality.
This is one of the major perception that people have. They equate High price with quality. So if you have couple of products and you think they are good but have low price. The first thought in your mind is always “WHY?”. Why the price is low? I bet it’s because it’s not good.
Funny thing about this situation is that it doesn’t change with geography or race or religion type. I’ve noticed this is Hindus, muslim, English, Africans or asians.
The conception does not change at all.
When you are pricing your products so low, you cannot justify the low price tag to your customer and equate is to quality.
Another thing about the pricing is that it reflects your mindset. The more confident you are, the better you’ll perform and better prices you’ll get.
If you are someone who can charge $500 an hour and when people know, they are often interested in knowing about it. They want to know why you are expensive (of course, they’ll also perceive your product to be quality).
Of course there are few times when you can opt for low price options. But they are exceptions. You cannot build profitable business with exceptions.
Before I finish this article, I do want to give you a warning. If you are selling high price item, do take care of the quality of the product. There’s a reason I can charge $100/week just for email consulting. I know I can provide the goods and I am confident.
