The Absolute Simplest And Easiest Way To Get Started

Light_bulb-sm There are many ways you can get started, you can set up your own website, create a viral e-book…and those are all pretty easy, but still not the absolute easiest!

I would say that the easiest way to get started is Blogging. Running a blog that you can install via fantastico is a new webmasters dream. One click installation, and then all you have to do is add content.

WordPress is a great choice for a new Blogger, but even if you can’t afford to get hosting or domain names yet, you can still get started Blogging.

Do a search for free Blogs, but chances are you will end up wanting to use Blogger.com – they are free and the Blogs are quite nice.

The best part about using Blogs is that they actually “ping” services to tell them that you have added new content. Many of those places then syndicate your content and that brings you back links and plenty of public awareness.

Blogging isn’t for everyone. I know I had my struggle with it in the past, It took some time but I understood what blogging is all about ..

But a Blog is a great way to both accomplish something and DO something all at once. Give it a shot – remember you can start a Blog up for free. You will want to add revenue streams into your blog by customizing. What to base your web sites on?

Many experts on the subject of Niche Sites will tell you that you have to pick high paying keywords only. There are so many searches on so many topics every day that you really can get traffic and interest in just about any “sub” category you want.

What I am saying is – don’t make your sites about fishing – make them about Walleye fishing instead. A great free way to pick your topics a little easier is: http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com  Just enter in a major keyword and it will spit out some other suggestions and help you find your competition.

Your first site should be about something you enjoy. Writing for the Keywords isn’t any fun, so pick a topic you know something about and just do it.

How exactly do you pick a topic?

There are many places to pick a topic for your site.

1. Your Hobbies - Most people hobbies are often based on trends, peers and their socio-geo-economic reasons. Chances are they are often based on markets where people are rabid buyers (i.e. Golfers, surfers, stamp collectors are darn good examples).

2. Your Magazines – Check out few of your local magazines. Notice the topic that interests you. These magazines are often in market where people are buying. If you are interested in topic, then your knowledge is going to be good about this topic.

Notice I’ haven’t talked about stuff like keyword tools to help you or sites like google zeitgeist. Why? Because I want to focus on markets where people are buying. If people are buying then there’ll always be people who are selling and you can always find ways to get  more information about them (sellers/buyers) and find an angle to sell more products.

3. Amazon.com – Third option is amazon.com, I like amazon because there are tons of options to chose from and do research on the market. But I use this only after I’ve chosen the market, not to chose a market.

Same goes for Ebay.com. You should use both of these sites to do research on the market. You’ll find what products are selling (and auctioning), what kind of thought process buyer is in etc… Lots of info to be gathered in research from these 2 websites.

After you’ve chosen the topic, You need to build a website. It can be done either by Dreamweaver, or Microsoft Frontpage, NVU (free website editor) or Xsite Pro. These tools will help you fix a website in matter of minutes.

Now all that left is content generation and traffic building. Which I’ll be discussing in other posts.

The singlemost factor that’ll double or tripple your website traffic

If you are struggling to get traffic to your website or blog, then you should focus on this single factor that can easily double or tripple your website traffic in 30-60 days.

Do not dwell in tactics or techniques that promises you the moon. If you look at all the sites that are getting traffic, this factor is the most important.

Chances are you know about it but never cared enough…

The factor is “Incoming Links”. I know people groan at the thought of link building , but the truth about SEO is that almost all the tactics have foundation in link building.

Article writing? Video submitting? blog comments? forums? bookmarking?

See, how each and every single factor can be broken down into a version of link building?

So if it’s so darn important, why oh why, people do not spend time building quality links?

How to get Quality Links?

To understand more about quality links, you have to understand the Anchor tag in HTML.

<A HREF=”"></A> This is Anchor tag in HTML.

What you write in between these tags is going to provide the few key points about quality of links.

First is the factor of HREF= Hyperlink Reference. Which is where you put your URL in this tag. The URL should be to your domain or one of the important page. (Keep this mind in point as I’ll explain this more later).

Second factor that is NOFOLLOW tag. If the hyperlink tag is set to “NOFOLLOW“, then the search engines will not use this link as a way to influence the rankings.

Third Factor is what you put as Anchor tag. <a >The stuff you put here</a>. Here you should put your most focused and important keyword. The major mistake people do here is that they vary this too much (too worried about link spamming, I believe).

Fourth factor is where you link exists. If your link is on a page which has High PR, then you bless yourself. If you can get into pages where there is traffic, High PR, the better it is for your website. This is one thing that is not easy to do. Webmasters jealously guard their website PR as thats the sole reason for use of nofollow tags.

Fifth and not so known factor is where your link points. Now like I said earlier, you should point your link to either your domain or one of the most important page. This factor is about related content. If your link is about “Blue widgets” and you link to internal page which talks about blue widgets, then it’s good for you.

But it’s not as effective if your blue widget link goes to widgets in general.

Can you believe all these secret behind a puny tiny Anchor tag in HTML?

I sure didn’t, until I started making changes based on the above factors.

The closer you observe these 5 factors the higher the quality of the link will be.

Now how in the blue hell you are going to use this information?

This is very simple to do. All of your techniques and tactics is based on link building one way or another. Now this how you can apply it?

For example you can add your anchor tag in article marketing.

Or you can use these tips to improve the links in forums, blogs and anywhere you post your link.

It all comes down to link building.

Remember – Focused, Quality and Quantity will help you get better links and improve your rankings.

Best Regards
