My 4 Step Method to Online Marketing
Day 14: Today I want to give you a simple method which I have been trying to drum into your head. This is a newsletter which I wrote last year for my subscribers and it all started from there…
This is Unique 4 step process. I think its unique not in terms of process but in terms of How you understand the process.
Without wasting anymore time, lets dive right into it.
Step 1 : Find A Need.
You see every marketing book or Every newsletter free or paid) always stress on Finding a Niche. Which I do think is quite right but somehow it also creates a confusion to many new comers in marketing.
This is how marketers Define Niche “Any market which is unexploited and basically have good Demand vs supply ratio High Demand Low Supply)”.
Now Johnny boy, of course who is newbie thinks to himself.. How perfect. All I need to do is find a Niche. All I need to do is find a market which have High Demand and Low supply.
Now riddle me this batman, If it was so easy to find niche, will all these marketing be touting “Find niche” in marketing niche?
The main problem is a new comer to the field start thinking in terms of “Competition is Bad”. Which I think is a step taken in wrong direction.
What I do?
I guess after all this rant, you want to know what I do. Like I wrote earlier. I find a need. Finding a need is easy why? because its easy to recognize, its easy to exploit. I never worry about competition. If there is a competition. I can close my eyes and say “There is a need”.
I won’t go out of my way to find or create needs. All I’ll do is go into markets which already have needs ie weight loss. This is counter intuitive. Again this is one last advice on this. Do not immediately jump into money making field. People in this field are highly competitive and advance. So this will be a suicide for a beginner jumping in this niche.
What you should be doing is implementing the things you learn from marketing to your “Need Market”.
Step 2 : Exploit the Gap.
Again this is Not so obvious step. What exactly is this gap? Every need market you jump into will have some obvious and some not so obvious gaps. Exploiting these gaps basically means finding a way to differentiate yourself from the competition.
Now there will be many of you who’ll point out and say “isn’t this same thing as finding niche”. The answer is No.
Listen its like going to a party where everyone is wearing a suit. If you wear a suit. You’ll be like 50 other men out there. If you don’t wear a suit. You won’t be allowed to enter. So what you do. You put on a suit and add some things (accessories) which make you stand out.
The thing about standing out is You gotta have the fashion sense. People who understand the rules of fashion CAN break those rules.
That’s the reason I told you not to jump in Marketing field in step 1. Because you don’t have the fashion sense Yet. I’ll give you examples in next step.
Step 3 : Fulfill the Gap and the Need.
Fulfilling is all about creating the product. People dwell on so many useless details when they are creating a product. My suggestion is Just get the product Out and Fast. You don’t need to be perfect. Your product doesn’t need to be Perfect.
The best example I would say is by Matt Furey. He jumped into Highly competitive field Weight loss with his product combat conditioning and fulfilled the gap. He Fulfilled the Gap in very unique way. His site is mattfurey.com
I suggest you go to his site and check him out. Think what was the gap he fulfilled. Think How he fulfilled it.
Step 4 : Expand the Need.
The last step in this process is Really unique. I have seen nobody almost nobody talking about this. This is the SECRET You might have been looking for.
We are not talking about backends. We are talking about Expanding the need. You start with your product which fulfills the gap and the need. Then You expand this need and create more income for you.
Again If you take a look at Matt furey, He’s master at it. Last time when I counted Matt has about 30 products in Just health and fitness section. And overall I think he have around 50+ products selling in just one site.
Now that I have given you a process which without doubt works. It all depends on you to now make it work for you too.
The other question I got asked whenever I share this process is. How long does it takes. Personally from my experience Normally it can take you 30 days to see results and income from This method.
