Zero - 150 Unique Visitors in 8 days.
I’ve been posting on this blog on how article marketing still produce favorable results. If you remember in one of my old post on “Does Article Marketing Work?” It took me 12 days to get around 150 visitors a day. This time around with my new blog it took me just few days.
Why Do you think I am doing a case studies on new websites?
Simple because I want to show my readers that you can get traffic to new websites with basic techniques that I’ve been showing you on this blog all long.
as you can see my traffic touched 134 in 6th day and on 8th it crossed 150. All it took me Daily blog posting and article submitting. Nothing fancy, Nothing too scientific, just plain old vanilla basics.
But if you are sold on to the idea of “The Secret”, All of what I show it to you here can’t help you.

I understand from some reading on SEO blogs that most of us based readership on unique visitors. It’s considered closest to accuracy but one thing that has been boggling me is, wouldn’t it be even more accurate to take returning visitors as the benchmark?
I use Statcounter to track my readership, and I deduced that my actual readership is only as much as readers who faithfully return to my site for more. There are many more whom have shown up under unique visitors, but whether they head back or not, the stats doesn’t quite answer that.
What do you feel about this?
Hey Ed,
I personally use Unique visitors as standard. The reason is very simple, My Goal is to get people to Either Subscribe to my list or Buy. This way you’ll be able to help track your conversion rates. People who’ve subscribed won’t subscribe again (and You can increase your readership by sending them to your blog).
For example on that blog my List building conversion is around 19.7 % and 0.7 % of sales. So for every 130+ unique I can get a sale and about 20 something subscriber. If I keep that up. I’ll have 30 + sales per month (with 600+ subscriber list).
Now from this data, I can work on improving my conversions and returning visitors. You keep testing your offers and other things and try to improve conversion.
That’s why I don’t count people who are returning visitors as a benchmark.
Whoops, I added a new element to my lead page and by the time I was writing this, my lead conversion dropped to 15%… lol… so this kind of things happen
Thanks for enlightening, because I am no E-marketer but it definitely helps when I know where you are coming from. Thanks again.
